The brugmansia, or "angel's trumpet" has magnificent inflorescence in the shape of trumpets, is an interesting and decorative shrub.

Planting brugmansia

It is best to plant your brugmansia in spring in a mixture of soil, potting soil and soil amendment.

Origin of brugmansia:

Brugmansia was discovered by Alexander von Humboldt and Aimé Bonpland during their exploration of South America in the early 19th century.e century.

It is therefore native to the Andes but is currently found in its natural state both in the West Indies and in Oceania.

Difference between brugmansia and datura:

We distinguish the brugmansia from datura by the fact that its flowers are drooping while those of the datura are ascending. Also, brugmansia is a shrub while most daturas are herbaceous plants.

This magnificent shrub has a remarkable flowering, generous and fragrant in the shape of a trumpet.

It hails from the warm regions of South America and will have a hard time adapting to climates where frost is common.

Make a regular and limited supply of organic fertilizer during the flowering period to stimulate it.
